We reserved a RAV4, was not there when we arrived. We had the sheet showing our reservation. Young man offered us a truck! Luggage in the back of a truck? Their mistake and they should have right, he claimed it was a similar vehicle and similar capacity, truck .... SUV, you decide. He could have given us a larger SUV which would have been fine, he said we would have to pay more. Needless to say it was a very poor experience. We walked right down to Hertz and got exactly what we wanted. We have used Alamo many times in the past but not again.
Wipers weren't working properly, Windshield was dirty and the Serrvice was the worst i've ever experienced in the US.
Scam alert: be extremely careful if they mention "credit card collision insurance" themselves and you don't buy their insurance. They WILL take advantage of it to surprise you with a 4-figure "damage" bill weeks later. They have NO lot agent. Remember to ask for clearance paperwork after returning and take pictures of the car before leaving. BBB shows they have a constant pattern of scamming people like this. Very dishonest.

when returning the car i dropped off the keys 30 min earlier, the Alamo representative was there and told me that i'm good to go. the next day i was charged for a late drop off, i had to call customer service and explain the issue to get my money back. i also had reserved a midsize car such as Elantra but was given a Kia Soul (a box on wheels which didn't brake properly!) i think all they have is Souls no matter whether you request a small or mid size car, so don't be fooled.
Do not rent a car here! They were out of the car-level I reserved and gave me the option of a minivan or paying for an upgrade. Customer service was poor, agent rude, and manager never called me per my request. Avoid unless you are looking to build up virtue...
